Investment in Your
Therapy
Therapy Is A Priceless Investment Into Your Wellness With Major Returns!
The returns are life-changing, and the positive impact will stay with you far beyond the time spent in session. You deserve to invest in something that will elevate your life on a profound level!
Investing in yourself is essential, and it’s important to recognize the diverse ways we do so. Whether it’s vacations, self-care rituals like fresh ink, acupuncture, Botox, spa days, chiropractic visits, or blissful massages, each choice serves to recharge, revitalize, and enhance our well-being. Engaging in therapy offers all these benefits and more.
In therapy, you’re not only investing in the time we spend during our appointments, you’re investing in a transformative experience that extends far beyond a few hours or weeks. Therapy is your dedicated time, a space where you can explore, grow, and heal. It’s your chance to nurture self-awareness, craft powerful coping mechanisms, cultivate emotional resilience, and instigate lasting transformations in your life. Think about therapy as having a personal trainer, but for your soul. As you gain self-awareness, coping skills, and resilience, you’ll experience increased confidence, improved decision-making, and a deeper understanding of yourself. I mean, who doesn’t want an abundance of all that goodness?
An investment in therapy is an investment in your mental and emotional well-being, paving the way for a more fulfilling and purposeful life, as therapy empowers you to navigate life’s challenges with strength and clarity. So, consider adding therapy to your self-care repertoire, and witness the long-lasting transformation it brings to every aspect of your life. You are worthy of this investment, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
I wholeheartedly desire your therapy journey to be as enriching as it can be. Expect frequent check-ins from me to guarantee your therapy journey aligns perfectly with your needs. Your progress and growth are my top priorities, and I am committed to providing the support and guidance you need however long or short our time may be together. Your investment in therapy holds immense value, and my mission is to ensure you reap the maximum rewards from it.
Extra Value I Provide:
I keep my caseload small so that I can provide an experience that is unique and custom-tailored to each client. This means having ample availability during the day for those with flexible work schedules, being easily accessible through a secure messaging platform, and sending supplemental resources (e.g., videos, podcasts, etc.) to my clients so you can get the most out of your treatment.
- We will set goals at the beginning of our work together and check in on the progress of those goals regularly. While we remain focused on achieving your original goals, I understand that life is full of surprises, and sometimes new situations or insights in therapy may reveal the need for adjustments. I believe in maintaining flexibility to ensure we address any evolving goals or emerging priorities that may arise during our time together.
- High quality, empirically based care, rooted in my extensive training and knowledge accrued through my doctoral education and copious amounts of continuous professional development.
- A comprehensive review of your intake paperwork and in-depth initial assessment. The intake process provides an opportunity for you to share your story, challenges, and goals. Understanding your background and experiences allows us to collaboratively design a personalized treatment plan that matches your specific needs.
- My approach involves crafting individualized interventions customized to align with your needs, abilities, and environment. The empowering tools I equip you with will be applicable beyond the context
of our sessions and will help you navigate life’s challenges effectively long after our work
together.
- As part of my commitment to providing a seamless and personalized therapy experience, I offer a securely encrypted and user-friendly client portal, that serves as a convenient hub for you to access essential therapy-related information, schedule appointments, complete assessments and securely communicate with me. It’s also the platform where you’ll conveniently fill out and submit intake paperwork, making the beginning of our partnership efficient and hassle-free. I’m all about that one-stop-shop approach and am a strong advocate for efficiency.
- I understand the importance of flexibility in todays busy world, which is why I’ve designed my services with your convenience in mind. Whether you have a hectic work schedule, family commitments, or travel to different time zones, I strive to accommodate your availability, making access to the support you deserve at the time and place that suits you best, and stress-free and without compromise.
- Automatic appointment reminders are just one way I strive to provide you with exceptional care and support throughout our work together. These reminders are sent directly to your preferred communication channel (e.g., email, text) ahead of your scheduled sessions. These help you stay informed about your upcoming appointments and allow you to plan your time effectively (including if you need to reschedule your therapy appointment) and enable you to make consistent progress and stay committed.
- As part of my commitment to providing you with the most effective and personalized care, I may conduct periodic assessments to monitor your progress, if deemed beneficial to our therapeutic work. This serves as a valuable tool to track and measure the positive changes and developments you experience over time. They provide a foundation for making well-informed decisions about potential adjustments to our therapeutic approach, ensuring our alignment with your ever-evolving needs and goals.
- Online sessions are provided with the same high level of professionalism and effectiveness as in-person sessions and are made available exclusively through a HIPAA secure video chat system. This secure platform ensures that your privacy and confidentiality are protected providing a safe and confidential space for our sessions.
- Coordination of care with other healthcare providers when necessary. If you or I deem it
important in our work together, I will reach out to those professionals [with your permission].
Rest assured that your privacy and consent are always respected, and any communication
with other care providers is done with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
Insurance
I do not participate with any insurance panels. Please understand just because I do not accept your insurance, does not mean we won’t be able to work together.
With insurance companies dictating clinical decisions such as length of treatment,
frequency/length of sessions, and mandated mental health diagnosis for reimbursement, I focus on providing the best care to all my clients without being controlled by insurance companies.
Bypassing insurance allows the utmost flexibility and privacy for my clients. Do you really think your health insurance company (who isn’t treating you) should be dictating what is best for your mental health or by the collaborative efforts formed by my professional expertise and your personal preferences and goals?
Without having to provide a mental health diagnosis, I’m also able to keep your records
completely secure and confidential, which means all information about you (including very personal information) cannot be obtained by your insurance company. There will be no diagnosis on your permanent health record, and no one will ever know you’re in therapy unless you choose to disclose it.
While I do not directly accept health insurance; it’s worth noting that your insurance company may accept something known as a Superbill, essentially a detailed therapy receipt that I can provide upon request. You can then submit this Superbill for potential reimbursement. It’s a straightforward process that typically involves a confidential fax, email, or portal to send the Superbill to your insurance provider. It is very important to note that the Superbill will show how many therapy appointments you attended, the cost of those services, any mental health diagnoses that you meet criteria for, and your insurance will have access to this information. We can discuss this further and review it during our meetings so you can make an informed decision that aligns with your needs.
I recommend reaching out to your insurance provider, using the phone number on your insurance card, to inquire about “out-of-network benefits.” They can provide you with information regarding potential reimbursement based on your plan and deductible. Please note that you will be responsible for the full fee at the time of service.
Most of my clients prefer not to use their insurance to preserve their privacy; instead, many opt to use a debit/credit card, their Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) if those resources are available.
You still have options, so continue reading to see if any of them make sense for you and your situation.
Use Pre-Tax Dollars.
Did you know that you can use your Health Savings or Flexible Spending Account to pay for therapy using pre-tax dollars? Please note that HSA accounts may be harder to get couples therapy covered, so check on that before you get started.
Speak with your tax preparer
Speak with your tax preparer to see if you could deduct therapy expenses from your taxes as an out-of-pocket health expense.
Understand that therapy is an investment.
Understand that therapy is an investment in yourself and your relationship. Compare the financial cost of short-term therapy to the
possible long-term emotional costs of NOT seeking help: The benefits far outweigh the risks.

Therapy can change your life if you let it…
